Egger Apprentices Achieve Distinction in Just One Year

Egger, a leading international manufacturer of wood-based materials, provided an opportunity for a group of talented young women to pursue a Level 3 Supply Chain Practitioner Apprenticeship. This initiative aimed to equip them with essential skills and industry knowledge, ensuring they were fully prepared to contribute effectively in the supply chain sector. Despite facing significant challenges, including a prior setback with another training provider, these dedicated apprentices were determined to achieve excellence.

Challenge

Initially, the apprentices faced a disruption in their learning journey when their original training provider was unable to meet their educational needs. This situation left them at a crossroads, but thanks to the dedication and resourcefulness of both the apprentices and their employers at Egger, they sought a solution. Zenith Training stepped in to take over their education, providing the girls with the opportunity to complete their apprenticeships successfully.

Training and Support

Under the guidance of Zenith Training, the apprentices embarked on a fast-paced and rigorous one-year journey. The program was designed to provide practical skills, knowledge, and industry-specific expertise in supply chain management, focusing on key areas like logistics, procurement, inventory management, and customer service.

Zenith Training’s tailored approach, coupled with the apprentices’ passion and hard work, proved to be the perfect combination for success. Each apprentice benefited from personalised mentoring, industry-relevant coursework, and hands-on experience. The training was interactive and dynamic, with regular assessments and feedback, which helped the apprentices stay on track and fully prepared for their end-point assessments.

Results

The apprentices not only completed their apprenticeships but excelled in the process, with each of them achieving Distinctions. This remarkable achievement highlights their commitment, resilience, and ability to adapt to new challenges. The one-year timeline for completion, in itself, was an impressive feat, especially given the earlier setbacks they faced.

By the end of their program, the apprentices had gained a wealth of knowledge in the supply chain field, enhancing their practical experience and employability. Their hard work and perseverance paid off as they proved their competency and expertise in the industry.
