A new and exciting opportunity to work within Parker Hannifin, Team Valley. During the course of the apprenticeship, students will work towards achieving their qualification supported by their line manager in addition to their academic learning through their college or training provider and work-based assessor.

Working Week

Monday to Thursday, between 8:00am – 4:30pm. Friday, 8:00am – 1:30pm. 37.5 hours a week

Apprenticeship Overview

As an apprentice, you’ll work at a company and get hands-on experience. You’ll gain new skills and work alongside experienced staff. Your apprenticeship training will be a fully work-based learning programme across 42 months. Upon completion of your apprenticeship, you will achieve a Level 3 Engineering Technician Apprenticeship. 

The below activities apply to Sustaining Engineering and New Product Development activities: 

  • 2D design activities: Support the creation and modification of technical drawings. 
  • 3D design activities: Support the creation and modification of assemblies. 
  • Model components 
  • Create and modify detailed components and assembly drawings. 
  • Part, assembly and detail component drawing release. 
  • Generate component specification 
  • Conduct product & component validation and verification tests. 
  • Working towards becoming a component in the use of appropriate engineering tools. 
  • The apprentice will also support all Engineering activities as required by the business.
