What will the apprentice be doing?

Production Dept –

  • Working / assisting Production Team members
  • Making and producing vehicle graphics, signage, showroom and forecourt products
  • Operating computers and machinery
  • Keeping areas clean and tidy at all times
  • Quality control of all work when in production and on bench for manufacturing
  • Maintaining and checking stock levels of materials
  • Order materials as and when instructed with relevant suppliers

Mail Order Dept –

  • Receiving Goods In
  • Making packs for customers Making boxes for dispatch
  • Checking and packing completed orders Printing customers labels
  • Printing courier labels
  • Handling daily visits from couriers for collections
  • Updating and restocking all dispatch paperwork for customers
  • Keeping areas clean and tidy at all times
  • Updating computer after dispatch for relevant email confirmations to be sent to customers
  • Checking previous days deliveries to ensure all were delivered

Additional Duties –

  • Helping graphics installer to clean and prepare vehicle surface prior to application
  • Helping other staff members in other roles as and when required
  • Daily cleaning duties
  • General house keeping
What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?

To develop the apprentice within their role so they have the confidence to undertake further responsibility and progress their career within DVLC. Also, for the apprentice to have a solid knowledge of products and the organisation as a whole as a foundation to build upon.
