We are looking for a Transport Planner who is a driven individual and is looking to start training for a career in a production planning role.

As an apprentice, you’ll work at a company and get hands-on experience. You’ll gain new skills and work alongside experienced staff.

What you’ll do at work:

• To plan transport on a daily basis, booking in with customer where required.
• To book transport vehicles in the most cost-effective way whilst ensuring all deliveries hit all targets and timings agreed with the business and customers.
• To successfully communicate with all departments to ensure all information is clearly provided and all parties are aware of any challenges or issues.
• Required to maintain the highest level of quality and service with the ability to use their own initiative.
• Daily checks of the warehouse to effectively save space and move stock out in a timely manner after production.
• Create and send stock reports out to help with movement of stock from the warehouse.
