You will be working in a busy high street agency dealing with customers face-to-face, by telephone and over social media channels. You will be provided with a staff uniform. Your main role will be assisting other members of staff as required and learning about all aspects of the retail travel industry.

Apprenticeship Overview

As an apprentice, you’ll work at a company and get hands-on experience. You’ll gain new skills and work alongside experienced staff. What you’ll do at work:

  • Welcome and deliver excellent customer service to our customers and talk to customers to understand their needs
  • Help customers find a suitable package holiday or other travel arrangement
  • Make bookings and take payments using online computer systems
  • Advise customers about passports, insurance, visas, vaccinations, tours and vehicle hire Inform customers of changes like cancelled flights
  • Arrange refunds and handle complaints
  • Meet sales targets Work as part of team as well as using your own initiative
  • Communicate with customers face-to-face as well as via social media, email and telephone
  • Update and restock marketing materials including window displays, brochures, leaflets etc.
  • Deal with customers and update customer files Deal with incoming and outgoing post and emails Keep up to date with developments in the travel industry
