The purpose of the Warehouse Operative is to carry out a variety of jobs such as, arranging goods in/out, inventory and quality checking.

Apprenticeship Overview

As an apprentice, you’ll work at a company and get hands-on experience. You’ll gain new skills and work alongside experienced staff. Your apprenticeship training will be a fully work-based learning programme across 12 months. Upon completion of your apprenticeship, you will achieve a Level 2 qualification as a Supply Chain Warehouse Operative.

  • What you’ll do at work
  • Ensure all equipment is maintained and operated according to the SOPs
  • Ensure there is an accurate record of stock within the warehouse
  • Ensure all items moved, shipped or received are logged in the correct manner
  • Ensure goods don’t get damaged
  • Quality checking goods prior to dispatch
  • Ensure the bulk assemble pick sheets are dispatched with maximum efficiency
  • Adherence to health and safety rules/processes
  • Load/unload goods from the truck
  • Ensuring that communication between staff members/department is ongoing
