At Zenith, we believe first impressions count, not just for us as an employer, but for the people who choose to join our team. As we continue to grow, we’ve had the pleasure of welcoming several new faces to the business. We recently asked a few of them to share their early impressions, from their induction experience to team culture, and we’re proud to share their honest reflections.
Sal, who joined just a week ago, admitted to feeling a few nerves beforehand, but said those were quickly eased:
“Zenith has genuinely gone out of their way to ease me in gently. Everyone has been very friendly, but it’s more than that; I’ve been provided with a two-week induction plan that staggered my introduction into the business, team, and other departments.”
For Sal, the structure and clarity from day one made a real difference, especially as someone who is neurodivergent:
“It’s been really useful to learn how the organisation works and how teams interact, upfront. I haven’t felt overwhelmed or confused, which is a testament to how well Zenith has handled the induction period.”
Sal praised the way teams worked together with purpose:
“There’s a strong process mapping along the learner journey, with clearly defined accountabilities at each stage. Most of the people I’ve met so far have a strong understanding of how their role supports the bigger picture and are passionate about meeting team objectives, not just individual targets.”
Phil, who joined three months ago, shared a more informal but equally insightful take on his experience:
He also gave a special shout-out to our Apprenticeship Manager Liz, calling her the “queen of common sense” for her pragmatic, supportive approach to performance management.
Duncan, now six months into his role at Zenith, echoed many of the same themes:
“Starting at Zenith has been a genuinely refreshing experience. Coming from a large organisation, I was initially nervous about how I’d settle in, but those worries quickly disappeared. Everyone here has been incredibly kind and supportive, and willing to help.”
He also highlighted the positive working environment and strong sense of shared purpose:
“The open and honest communication, along with a strong sense of collaboration, makes it easy to feel part of the team. It’s clear that we’re all working towards a common goal, and that shared purpose really shines through in the culture.”
Across all three experiences, some key themes truly stand out: a commitment to structured onboarding, a welcoming and supportive team, and a culture that balances high standards with open collaboration.
It’s encouraging to hear that our new starters are feeling heard, supported, and empowered, because at Zenith, creating the right environment for people to thrive isn’t just a goal; it’s how we work.
We’ll be checking back in with our new starters over the coming months, but for now, we’re grateful for their reflections and excited for what lies ahead as we continue to grow, together.
