What will the apprentice be doing?

Study and improve working practices to reduce waste and reworks in manufacturing.

Looking at Lean and Six Sigma principles and implementing these into the process.

Facilitate the further use of the current MRP software program to assist with improved Resource management.

Develop improved quality control measures in line with the Production manager’s expectations.

Carry out quality checks on final products and deal with quality concerns and defects in accordance with their responsibilities. Develop a Quality auditing system.

Responsible for carrying out quality checks throughout the Production process

Prepare, control, contribute to and complete production operations.

Development of Standard operating procedures and a Production Playbook for the workshop environment.

Study product flow through the workshop and develop efficient solutions to reduce waste.

Study automation methods available in the market to increase productivity using more innovative, non-manual methods.
